Designed for wine cellars up to 1500 cubic feet and rated for internal or external (see notes below) applications, CellarPro's 6000S 1/2 Ton refrigeration system allows the noise from the condensing unit to be removed from living areas, and eliminates the need for large holes in your cellar wall. This is achieved by separating the evaporator unit from the condensing unit.

Only a few small openings for the line-set and drain line are required to connect the evaporator and condensing units. Inside the cellar, the evaporator unit is designed to mount on the wall near the top of the wine cellar. Outside the cellar, the condensing unit is attached to the evaporator unit by a line-set (sold separately) up to 100 equivalent feet (and up to 30 vertical feet).

Our advanced evaporator unit uses a variable-speed centrifugal fan with three settings, including a "high" setting for maximum performance and a "low" setting for super-quiet operation. The evaporator should be mounted close to the ceiling inside the cellar.

Our high-performance condensing unit is designed to handle environments ranging from 0°F to 110°F. The condensing unit requires 12 inches of unobstructed space in front of the coils, and requires approx. 600-700 CFM of ventilation when installed in a confined space.

CellarPro Split wine cellar refrigeration systems offer a choice of wiring:
1. the Condensing unit can be electronically controlled by and wired to the Evaporator (single power source on the Evaporator side)
2. the Condensing unit can be controlled by a Solenoid valve (dual power source, one each to the Evaporator and Condensing units.) The first choice (with electronic wiring) will allow the Condensing unit to be used in temperatures down to -20°F.

Important Notes: External installations require our outdoor hood (sold separately). For exposure to environments below 40°F, our compressor heater modification is required. Access to the left side of the evaporator unit is required for installation. All split systems must be installed and charged on site by a qualified HVAC professional. Line-set equivalent feet must be calculated in accordance with ASHRAE guidelines.

CellarPro Outdoor Hood

The outdoor hood allows the condensing unit from the refrigeration systems to be installed outdoors.

The outdoor hood includes a cover to protect against weather, as well as a custom base platform that elevate the condensing unit off the ground.

Please note the recommended operating temperature range for each condensing unit. A compressor heater is required when the condensing unit will be exposed to temperatures below 40°F.

CellarPro VS Louvered Wood Grill Cover

The CellarPro louvered wood grill cover fits over the front of all CellarPro VS Series cooling units, as well as 3000S and 4000S split evaporators, and can be configured to match the wine racks in your wine cellar.

The louvered wood grill cover is oversized for maximum flexibility of installation. The louvers are spaced three inches apart, allowing easy access to the refrigeration system's controls, buttons and switches.

Pricing shown is our unstained premium redwood. Our louvered wood grill is available in a choice of woods and finishes to fit with other wine rack components in your wine cellar. Requires assembly.

The CellarPro self-regulating compressor heater attaches to the compressor and provides reliable peak heating during critical cold periods. Once the compressor starts up and/or temperatures start to rise, the compressor heater reduces its heating.

The compressor heater is required when the condenser (rear) side of CellarPro cooling units will be exposed to temperatures below 40°F.

When the cooling unit is exposed to cold temperatures, the refrigerant in the compressor can migrate into the crankcase oil when the compressor is not running. On startup, this can cause excessive motor wear and a loss of refrigeration efficiency. The compressor heater protects the compressor from damage in cold conditions below 40°F.

CellarPro Remote Display/Control Unit

The CellarPro remote control kit allows the control panel to be installed in a remote location from the cooling unit.

Connected via 10 feet of 18-gauge low voltage wiring, the control panel can be installed anywhere that's convenient for you, inside or outside the wine cellar. If you'd like more than 10 feet of wire, let us know when you checkout in the "special instructions" field. We charge $0.50 per foot after the first 10 feet.

Perfect for cooling units that will be installed in remote or hard-to-reach locations, this kit allows the cooling unit to be controlled, and the temperature display to be viewed, remotely via the remote control panel.

Please note: switches for features excluded from the control panel, such as the variable speed fans and the condensate evaporator, are not controlled by the remote control panel.

CellarPro Bottle Probe

Bottle probe temperature sensor allows our wine cooling units to cycle on/off based on changes in liquid temperature inside the wine cellar.

Bottle probes are recommended when the wine cooling unit will be placed remotely (ie the cold air will be ducted), and/or it cannot be placed near the top of the wine cellar. The bottle probe also can be used in odd-shaped wine cellars to control the cooling unit based on temperatures "around the corner".

Our bottle probe, which includes a rubber bottle stopper to avoid leaks and spills, can be inserted into a wine bottle filled with water and alcohol to avoid bacteria growth. The 10-foot cord allows the bottle to be placed almost anywhere inside the wine cellar.

The other side of the probe is fitted with a jack that plugs directly into the face of the wine cooling unit.

When using a bottle probe, we recommend reducing the temperature (HY) differential from 4 degrees to 1 degree.
Compatible with all CellarPro wine cooling units.
